Yes, the birth of this blue social channel. It started in February 2004 with Mark Zuckerberg. He was already busy with computers from a young age. He regularly programmed games for his friends at a young age and made a program that looks like an early form of Messenger.
Facebook was founded in Zuckerberg’s second year at Harvard. Initially, Zuckerberg created ‘Facemash’ where students could rate each other based on how attractive someone was. This was not well received and was quickly taken offline. However, fellow students did express a need for a kind of online address book where they could find information about other students.
Harvard didn’t see this as a priority, but Zuckerberg wanted to make it happen. After Zuckerberg talked about it a lot with his friends and co phone number lead -founders Chris Hughes, Dustin Moskovitz, and Eduardo Saverin, Facebook was launched from Zuckerberg’s dorm room on February 4, 2004. That’s where ‘thefacebook.com’ was born.A piece of history

The Early Success of ‘The Facebook’
From the start, The Facebook was used only by Harvard staff and students. Soon, they realized they might have something big on their hands. Zuckerberg dropped out of college and moved to Silicon Valley in California to focus on The Facebook.
By the end of 2004, hundreds of educational institutions were already using The Facebook. In 2005, secondary schools and foreign universities were also given access, european union phone number and in 2006, everyone aged 13 or older with a valid email address was given access. The name changed from The Facebook to Facebook. Within a year, Facebook had grown into a platform with 50 million active users . Bizarre.
Why Facebook beat Hyves
For many of us, Facebook will have been the successor to Hyves. In August 2011, Facebook attracted more unique users in the Netherlands some of the best and most reliable dedicated hosting services than Hyves. Facebook was easier to use than Hyves and it was an international product. As a result, you could add friends much more easily on Facebook than on Hyves. Think, for example, of the friends you had made on holiday or international visitors at a party you had been to. You could not add them via Hyves.
